(Long Island, NY) The Second Squad reports an arrest for Grand Larceny on Monday, February 01, 2016 at 3:55 P.M. in Hempstead.
According to detectives, on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:30 P.M., Raymond Jordan, 54, of Hempstead, along with a suspect not yet apprehended, entered the Kohl’s store located at 3565 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown and removed merchandise valued over $1000.00 without paying.

A further investigation revealed on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 4:45 P.M., Jordan, along with a suspect not yet apprehended, entered the Kohl’s store located at 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and removed merchandise valued over $2700.00 without paying.
Jordan was arrested at his residence without incident at 3:55 P.M. on Monday, February 01, 2016. The investigation is ongoing.
Jordan is charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree and will be arraigned on Tuesday, February 02, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
