(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Thursday, January 7 at a Nesconset bank.
A man entered Teachers Federal Credit Union, located at 127 Smithtown Blvd., handed a teller a note that demanded cash and indicated violence if the teller did not comply. The teller gave the man cash and the man fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The man was described as white, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing jeans, a gray coat and a red winter hat. His face was covered with an unknown item of clothing.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
