Artist’s Reception: Tuesday, June 16 at Riverhead Town Hall Gallery
(Long Island, NY) East End Arts is pleased to announce the Artist’s Reception for the new art exhibit at the Riverhead Town Hall Gallery featuring works by watercolor painter Lorraine Rimmelin of Mastic Beach. Meet the artist at the reception on Tuesday, June 16, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM – the public is welcome to this free event. Riverhead Town Hall is located at 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, NY (corner of Howell and East Main Street; 631-727-3200). The exhibition opens on Friday, June 5 and will run through September 1, 2015, and can be visited during Town Hall open office hours: Mondays through Fridays, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Lorraine Rimmelin is a New York-based artist specializing in watercolor painting. She uses an explosion of colors to capture the likeness of flowers, animals and landscapes. Her dramatic water view paintings are inspired by her love of the south shore of Long Island, where she resides in her beach-side bungalow. Lorraine is a Signature Member of the North East Watercolor Society. She has had her paintings displayed in several prestigious galleries including a solo show in New York City. After a long and fulfilling career as a hair designer, colorist and salon owner, she has transformed her love of shape, color and design into an award-winning profession of limitless pleasure. The Riverhead Town Hall art exhibits are a collaborative effort on the part of East End Arts and the Township of Riverhead to support local artists and introduce their works to the community.
