(Long Island, NY) Double the Shacks, double the fun! Shake Shack® is proud to announce that it will open its second location in the heart of Long Island on Thursday, September 17th at 11 AM in the Lake Success Shopping Center in New Hyde Park, NY at 1570 Union Turnpike.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers (no hormones added ever), griddled flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries and more. A fun and lively community gathering place with widespread appeal, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.

In addition to the Shake Shack food and drink classics, the New Hyde Park Shack will be spinning up a selection of local frozen custard concretes: the Great White Way (vanilla custard, marshmallow sauce and crispy crunchies) and the Chocolate Caramel Crunchcrete (chocolate custard, caramel sauce, chocolate toffee and chocolate sprinkles). The Westbury Shack’s popular Malt Whitman (vanilla custard, Mast Brothers Shake Shack dark chocolate chunks, banana bread and malt powder) will also be available.
The New Hyde Park Shack’s beer menu is influenced by its proximity to Brooklyn and Long Island. Diners will be able to wash their burgers and fries down with not only Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale, but also brews like BrooklynLager, Montauk Driftwood Ale, and Sixpoint Bengali. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of organic and biodynamic Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from Napa-based Frog’s Leap Winery.
As part of its mission to Stand For Something Good®, the New Hyde Park Shack is partnering with nearby esteemed Cohen Children’s Medical Center, which provides the most advanced levels of clinical care in meeting the needs of children. Five percent of sales from the Malt Whitman will be donated to Cohen Children’s, and Shake Shack team members will volunteer at events run by the hospital.
In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Shack is constructed with recycled and sustainable materials. The walls are clad in reclaimed antique barn wood siding; chairs and booths are made from lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council; and tabletops are handcrafted from reclaimed bowling alley lanes. The Shack’s kitchen food is composted and, like all Shacks, this location features energy-efficient kitchen equipment and lighting.
