The season, hosted by Cristina Cuomo, debuts on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. on WLIW21
(Long Island, NY) Long Island, New York, is the most populated island in any U.S. state or territory, constituting nearly 40% of New York State’s population. Best Places to Live, which won the 2013 New York Emmy Winner for “Best Magazine Series” when it aired on NJTV, returns with a new season on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:30 p.m. on WLIW21. The weekly series will feature six 30-minute episodes, which will explore what makes Long Island such a desirable place to live.
In the new local series, host Cristina Cuomo, editor in chief of Manhattan magazine and Beach magazine and Southampton resident, takes viewers through the vibrant histories of areas across Long Island and explains how different influences have made each of these locales among the best places to live in the region.
In time for the beginning of summer, the first episode takes viewers to East Hampton on the southeastern coast. Famous for its beaches, trendy shops, art scene and palatial estates, Cuomo brings viewers to such attractions as Grey Gardens and Guild Hall, and tours some of the homes in the area.
In addition to visiting beautiful homes, Cuomo will sample local cuisine and meet local residents who call these communities home.
The other communities to be explored this season include Sag Harbor, Port Washington, and Manhasset among others.
Best Places to Live is produced by Richard Mcintosh and Alan Goldsher, the principals of Re-Invention TV.
