AICF provides Mobile, No-Cost Breast Cancer Screening services to over 4,500 medically underserved New York City women annually. Our mobile Care Clinic travels the five boroughs five days a week. The women we serve reside in neighborhoods with high poverty rates, low screening rates, and high incidences of breast cancer; they are often fearful, ambivalent, or distrustful of the health care system and are simply not being screened through other programs.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. We strive to make every month Breast Cancer Awareness month. For more information about our No-Cost Breast Cancer Screening Program, please contact Ruth Vega at 212.628.9090 orruthvega@
Our work is generously supported by the National Breast Cancer Foundation, AVON Foundation, the New York City Council, New York State Department of Health Cancer Services Program, RAR Foundation and various individual patrons.
