(Long Island, NY) Arson/Bomb Squad detectives report the arrest of an Oceanside man for possessing fireworks which occurred in Oceanside on Saturday, 07/04/15 at 7:40 P.M.
According to detectives, Fourth Precinct police officers responded after receiving complaints for firework violations. Officers observed Joseph Tullo, 29, in front of his residence, wiring Mortar tube racks in the street. There were 539 Mortar tubes set up, loaded with shells. On the grass apron next to the racks were 91 assorted cakes.

Tullo is being charged with Storage of Explosives, Licenses and Certificates and was arraigned on Sunday, 07/05/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
