(Albany, NY) In a Legislature known for saying one thing to their constituents and doing another behind closed doors in the Capitol, one legislator went above and beyond in his or her hostility to New York’s environment.
On Wednesday, October 9, EPL/Environmental Advocates will announce the dubious winner of the 2013 Oil Slick Award, as well as unveil the environmental voting records for all state legislators.
- Where: LCA Press Room 130, Legislative Office Building, Albany
- When: Wednesday, October 9, 2013 @ 11AM
The Scorecard is the only of its kind in New York. Oil Slicks are awarded to the public figure that has done the most to derail environmental protections in New York State during what was otherwise an unremarkable and unproductive legislative session.
EPL/Environmental Advocates was founded in 1969 as one of the first organizations in the nation to advocate for the future of a state’s environment and the health of its citizens. It is the sister organization of Environmental Advocates of New York.
