(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which one person was killed and three others were injured after a fight in North Amityville on Saturday, May 30.
First Precinct police officers responded to Coolidge Ave. at approximately 2 a.m. after receiving 911 calls and a Shot Spotter notification regarding multiple shots fired during a fight outside that location.

Three men were transported to area hospitals for gunshot wounds and one man was transported to an area hospital for injuries he sustained during the fight. One of the gunshot victims, Louis Wilson, 44, of Kansas City, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the hospital and the three others sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk County Police today arrested a man in connection with the death of Louis Wilson and the assault of Shaun Wilson, 37, of North Amityville, and Junious Wilson, 38, of North Amityville. Homicide Squad detectives charged Jakyma Bunn, 38, of North Amityville, with Murder 2ndDegree, Two counts of Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree.Bunn, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident, will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 1.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
