(RIVERHEAD, NY), East End Arts is pleased to announce an open call for singers, to participate in the 27th Annual Harvest Gospel Choir this fall. Vocalists are invited to join Artistic Director Maryanne McElroy, in her 27-year tenure with the concert series in this non-denominational celebration connecting community members while sharing the joy of music from the soul! Participants must be available for all four rehearsals and three performances. All are welcome; there are no auditions to participate. Interested singers should register at the first rehearsal on Saturday, October 19, at 6 PM, held at the Friendship Baptist Church in Flanders.
Rehearsals will be held at the Friendship Baptist Church, located at 59 Anchor Street, in Flanders, NY on the following dates:
- Saturday, October 19, 6 PM – 9 PM (participants register at first rehearsal);
- Saturday, October 26, 6 PM – 9 PM;
- Saturday, November 2, 6 PM – 9 PM;
- Saturday, November 9, 6 PM – 9 PM.
- Saturday, November 16, possible final rehearsal.
Performances take place at 8 PM on the following dates:
- Thursday, November 21 at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, located at 12605 Main Road in Mattituck, NY;
- Friday, November 22 at the Southampton Cultural Center, located at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton, NY;
- Saturday, November 23 at the Friendship Baptist Church, located at 59 Anchor Street in Flanders, NY.

East End Arts’ Harvest Gospel Concert Series has been celebrating the joy of music from the soul on the East End of Long Island since 1986. This series of free concerts features the Harvest Gospel Choir of over 70 singers and guest soloists, led by Artistic Director Minister Maryanne McElroy. The group will perform an eclectic mix of gospel music that should not be missed.
