Concerned Local Residents Demand Change And Ask For Help After Recent String Of Shootings And Homicides
(Long Island, NY) Brentwood School Board President Helen Moss will join with about one hundred concerned parents, teachers and students, as well as with local civic and community organizations tonight, Thursday February 4, 2016 at 7pm inside the East Middle School auditorium (70 Hilltop Dr, Brentwood, NY 11717) to speak out about more programs that are necessary to keep local children safe from gun and gang related violence.
Elected and county officials joined with community groups last month to speak out after the arrest of a 16-year-old student involved in a shooting outside of the Brentwood public library near the local high school. Since then, the community has been rocked with another homicide, as well as an attempted murder.
