(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Bohemia on Wednesday, September 2.
A 2014 Freightliner tractor was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway when the tractor struck a pedestrian who had entered the roadway at approximately 9 p.m.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8546.
