(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Brentwood onThursday, November 26.
Catherine Ocampohincapie was driving a 2010 Nissan Versa when she struck an unidentified adult male pedestrian at the intersection of Suffolk Avenue and Brentwood Road at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The pedestrian was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious head trauma. Ocampohincapie, 19, of Central Islip stayed at the scene.
Marcos Castro, 21, of Brentwood, has been identified as the pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in Brentwood. Castro is in serious condition at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
The investigation is continuing.
