(Long Island, NY) Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, May 26, 2015 at 12:10 am in Roosevelt.
According to detectives, while attempting to cross Nassau Road at the intersection of West Roosevelt Avenue, Maria Cebellos, 50, of Hempstead, was struck by a 2009 Ford sedan operated by a 48 year old male.

As a result of the collision, the victim, who suffered multiple trauma injuries, was pronounced deceased at scene by a Nassau County AMT.
A brake and safety check was performed at the scene and the investigation into this accident, which was absent of criminality, continues.
