(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a person who was found following a house fire in Wyandanch on Saturday, November 28.
First Precinct patrol officers responded to a home on Irving Ave. after a 911 caller reported a fire at the residence, which was boarded up, at approximately 2 a.m.

Members of the Wyandanch Fire Department extinguished the fire and the body of a person was found inside the residence. The body was transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the identity and cause of death.
Preliminary investigating has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal. The investigation is continuing.
