(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police today arrested a man who attempted to rob an East Farmingdale Bank, earlier this week.
Utilizing video surveillance and witness descriptions, Pattern Crime Unit detectives identified Jonathan Levin as the man who attempted to rob the Chase bank, located at 1745 Broad Hollow Road on September 29.

Levin entered Chase, located at 1745 Broad Hollow Road, at 12:54 p.m., approached a teller and demanded cash. The teller did not comply and Levin fled on foot east through the parking lot.
After identifying Levin the Pattern Crime Unit placed him under surveillance and he was subsequently arrested today without incident.
Levin, 35, of Wantagh, was charged with one count of Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 2.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
