(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at an East Farmingdale store on Monday, September 7.
A man armed with a handgun entered Avenue, located at 240 Airport Plaza Blvd, at approximately 10:30 a.m. and demanded money. The two employees inside the store complied with the man’s demands. During the robbery, a customer entered the store and all three subjects were ordered to a backroom where they were tied up.

The man, who is described as black, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, fled with money from the store and the customer’s purse. After the man fled the store, the victims, who were uninjured, were able to free themselves and call 911.
