(Long Island, NY) Fourth Squad detectives report the arrest of a Suffolk County woman for a burglary that occurred in Hewlett on Tuesday, 07/28/15 at 9:30 A.M.
According to detectives, Jamie Culoso, 26, of Commack, entered a residence on Franklin Ave., by breaking the glass on a rear kitchen door. Once inside the defendant removed an undisclosed amount of cash and assorted jewelry.

The defendant, who had cut herself on the glass, left traces of blood throughout the home. A DNA test was performed on the blood sample, which resulted in a match identifying the defendant.
Fourth Precinct detectives located and arrested Culoso on Tuesday, 09/08/15 in Woodmere. She is being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 09/09/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
