(Long Island, NY) The First Squad reports the arrests of two males on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 5:18am in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, two officers on routine patrol observed a tan colored Honda Accord travelling at a high rate of speed without headlights illuminated.

The officers conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop on Greenwich Street and Ann Street. Upon approaching the vehicle the officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The investigation resulted in two arrests.
The driver, David J. Solomon, 31, of Roosevelt was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and two traffic violations. The rear passenger, Phillip Sanders, 37, of Roosevelt was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon for a loaded firearm located on the rear seat.
Both arrestees will be arraigned on Monday, October 26, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
