(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a two-car crash that seriously injured a male victim on Monday, January 4.
Michael Arce was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Sills Road when the driver of a southbound 1995 Ford van attempted to make a left onto North Dunton Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. The Tahoe struck the van.

The driver of the van, Jordan Tyre, 21, of Bellport, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was listed in serious condition. Arce, 38, of Holbrook, and an adult male passenger who was in his vehicle were also transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
