(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a Huntington motorcyclist on Friday, October 30.
Michael Awamy was operating a black 2008 Kawasaki Ninja eastbound on Jericho Turnpike when he struck a westbound 2008 Nissan Sentra that was attempting to make a left turn onto Sweet Hollow Road in Huntington at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Awamy, 52, was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan, Erick Sosa, 17, Central Islip, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
