(Long Island, NY) Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an auto accident involving a motorcycle that occurred in Atlantic Beach on Monday, 12/07/15 at 5:37 P.M.
According to detectives, a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, travelling eastbound on Park St./Nassau Ave., drove into the westbound lanes travelling east and was in collision with a 2015 Mercedes-Benz SUV, operated by a male driver, 55.

The operator of the motorcycle, Thomas Kraft, 22, of Port Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The operator of the Mercedes and his female passenger were transported to a local hospital for trauma services.
Detectives report no apparent criminality. Both vehicles were impounded from the scene for brake and safety inspections.
