(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a man in Ridge on Saturday, August 22.
Ryan McCready, 30, of Shirley was operating a 4-door sedan southbound on William Floyd Parkway, just north of Longwood Road, when his vehicle veered off the roadway and into the woods.

The time of the crash is unclear and under investigation. At 6:23 a.m., a passing motorist noticed the vehicle in the woods and notified police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
