(Long Island, NY) The Third Squad is investigating an Assault that occurred on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 12:30 am in Mineola.
According to detectives, a 25 year old male victim was leaving the El Madera Bar at 247 Mineola Boulevard with his girlfriend when a unknown male subject made a rude comment towards the girlfriend. A shoving match ensued resulting in the victim being stabbed in the side by an unknown sharp object.

The subject fled the scene on foot southbound on Mineola Boulevard. The subject is described as a male hispanic wearing a red shirt. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injury.
