(Long Island, NY) The First Squad is investigating a serious vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 7:35 p.m. in Uniondale.
According to detectives, a 40 year old male was crossing Jerusalem Avenue from the northside to south in the vicinity of 517 Jerusalem Avenue when he was struck by an unknown vehicle travelling westbound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in serious condition with head injuries. The unknown vehicle, which suffered front end damage, continued to travel westbound and turned northbound onto Bedford Avenue.
