(Long Island, NY) The First Squad is investigating an attempted Robbery that occurred on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 6:30 a.m. in Merrick.
According to detectives, a female victim, 35 was walking her dog on Bushwick Avenue at the intersection of Schermerhorn Street when she was approached by two male Hispanics. The first subject is described as in his 20’s, 6’0” tall, wearing dark colored hooded sweat shirt, gloves and a dark bandana covering his face. The second subject is only described as being smaller.

Subject #1 placed his hands on her shoulders, forcing her to kneel and demanded money. The victim stated she had no money on her as he went through her pockets. The victim was able to get back up and began to scream. She was then able to run away. The subjects fled in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported.
