“Searching for a cure, One Cell at a Time…One Gingerbread House at a Time”
(Long Island, NY) Calling all gingerbread house enthusiasts and architects! Suffolk Lodge No. 60 Ancient, Free & Accepted Masons will be hosting its 5th Annual Gingerbread House Contest during the 20th annual Port Jefferson Charles Dickens Festival from December 4th-6th, 2015. Houses will be judged for their creativity, execution and originality by our panel of judges. In the Adult Category 1st Place Winners will receive Four (4) One Day Park Hopper Tickets valid at any Walt Disney World Theme Park and $500 cash! For our under 18 Category 1st prize Winners will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card, please see our website (www.gingerli.org) for details about all of our prizes. This is a chance to bring the family together, spend some quality time in the kitchen and let your imagination take over.
For the third year in a row proceeds from this event will be donated to The KDH Hodgkin’s Disease Foundation. Donations will be used to help find a cure for this disease.
All submissions will be on display downstairs in the historic Port Jefferson Masonic Temple throughout the entire weekend. Your original design will be seen by the thousands of people that attend The Dickens Festival.

Suffolk Lodge No. 60
Suffolk Lodge No. 60 Ancient, Free & Accepted Masons has been located in its current building in Port Jefferson for over a century and has been a part of the North Shore community since 1796. Every year during the Dickens Festival Suffolk Lodge donates a portion of all proceeds from the events held within their building to some worthy charity. This is the third year Suffolk Lodge will be proudly supporting The Kimberly D. Holland Hodgkin ’s Disease Foundation.
KDH Hodgkin’s Disease Foundation
The KDH Hodgkin’s Disease Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that funds clinical trials, research, and publications related to finding a cure for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Donations to this foundation are forwarded to The Laboratory for Experimental Therapeutics for the Lymphoproliferative Malignancies at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. These funds are being donated to support MSKCC in their ongoing research for Hodgkin’s Disease.
