(Queens, NY) On Friday, April 11th, Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer, QCA’s Executive Director and children’s book author/illustrator read from her new children’s book Ghost Dumplings. The event attracted children of all ages. Guests were fed a global mix of local dumplings from Queens!
The event raised close to $6,800. The overall goal of The Moveable Feast Artist Dinner Series is $35,000; so far $35,800 has been raised. The proceeds will support scholarships for students participating in the High School to Art School Portfolio Development Program.

Participating restaurants include: Manducatis Rustica, Pao & Cha Cha, Nuevo Jardin de China, Old Traditional Polish Cuisine, William Hallet, Seva Indian Cuisine, and Ben’s Kosher Deli. Guests were delighted by the Italian Dumpling with Nocciola, Veal Dumplings in Bianco, Cheese & Herb Empanadas, Pork & Chinese Vegetables Dumplings, Chicken & Mushroom Dumplings, Fried Dumplings, Vegetable Samosas, Bacon Cheeseburger Dumplings, Potato & Cheese Pierogies, Mini Empanadas, and Fried Kreplach.

The Moveable Feast Artist Dinner Series culminates on Saturday, June 21st with the 2014 QCA Block Party hosted by Kaufman Arts District! QCA invites you to an Astoria style block party on the Kaufman Astoria Studios’ latest outdoor film lot in the new Kaufman Arts District on 36th Street between 34th and 35th Avenues. Live music, local eateries, artists’ activities and a screening of short films created by local Queens filmmakers.
