(Long Island, NY) With more than 10 eateries set to offer free samples to passersby and a short program of speeches, Queens Restaurant Week 2015 will kick off at The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale on Monday, October 5, at noon.
In addition to various photo opportunities, members of the media will be able to interview bistro owners, event sponsors, event organizers, and elected officials. (Plus, there will be free food for all…That’s right; a free lunch really exists for one day!)
As of right now, an estimated 150 local restaurants — spread out over about 30 neighborhoods — have agreed to participate in this 12th annual promotion. To take place from October 12 through October 23, most eateries will offer three-course, prix fixe meals for $28, but specials might vary. Lunch specials will be $14. Also, each participating eatery will decide to offer the special on weekdays, weekends or both.
