(Long Island, NY) Catholics for Freedom of Religion will be holding a Rally for Religious Freedom on Wednesday, November 13 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, on the front lawn of Mercy Medical Center located at 1000 North Village Avenue, Rockville Centre.
The rally is designed to raise awareness about the mandate from Health and Human Services which calls for fines on Catholic hospitals, and other religious institutions, of $100 per day per employee, as of January 1, 2014, if they do not comply with new mandates for health insurance coverage of products and services that directly violate Catholic teachings.
All are invited to join with fellow Catholics from many Long Island parishes to preserve First Amendment freedom of religion and Catholic health care for Americans of all faiths.
