(Long Island, NY) The Queens Economic Development Corporation is happy to announce that Michael Lotito, who founded Mass x Speed Advisors and VFL Investments and Advisors, will teach the next Entrepreneurial Assistance Program, which will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on October 6, 2015.
Offered since 1991, EAP is a comprehensive, hands-on training course targeted to aspiring business owners. It is specifically designed to minimize the risk and maximize the success of starting or expanding a business. Over 20 sessions, Lotito will instruct on the following topics: How to write a compelling business plan; How to conduct industry and market research; Operations structure; Technology to automate and streamline a business; How to legally structure a business; Competitive positioning; How to structure financial statements; and How to finance a business. As part of the class, participants will complete a fully vetted business plan.

During 30 years in advertising and media, Lotito has held a wide variety of positions that have provided him insight into every part of the industry. As a practitioner, he was both media planner and TV buyer for over a decade at McCann Erickson and Benton & Bowles. As a business leader, he has held the titles US Media Director, Worldwide Media Director, and Director of Account Management at Ammirati Puris Lintas, a $1.5 billion advertising agency. He capped off his advertising career as President and COO of Initiative Media North America, a $7 billion media agency with 1,200 employees in 15 offices throughout the United States.
Plus, Lotito was founder and CEO of a Media IQ, an NYC-based media audit firm specializing in evaluating ad buying efficiency for advertisers and their agencies from 2002 – 2012. The company was purchased by Procurian, which was then bought by Accenture in 2013.
