(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the man who robbed a Riverhead gas station.

On March 8, at approximately 2:20 a.m., a man entered the Mobile gas station, located at 1575 Old Country Road, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash from the register. The cashier gave the suspect money and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion,between 5 feet 8 inches tall and 5 feet ten inches tall. He was wearing a dark-gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored sweat pants and white sneakers. He wore a white cloth to cover his face.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
