(Long Island, NY) Youth from SCO Family of Services’ Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center (RJMCC) in Sea Cliff recently honored members of the Sea Cliff Fire Department by presenting them with a plaque and donations from two SCO supporters in recognition of SCFD’s continued support of the SCO Family of Services and dedication and service to all members of the Sea Cliff community.
SCO’s Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center serves 73 children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and provides 24-hour nursing care, social services and a variety of therapies that help youth with special needs to unlock their potential and achieve as much independence as their abilities allow. These youth attend the Tyree Learning Center, the campus-based special education school.

“The children at SCO’s Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center feel a strong connection to the Sea Cliff community,” said SCO Executive Director and Sea Cliff resident Douglas O’Dell. “This sense of belonging to the social fabric of our community builds their self-esteem and makes them feel proud.”
