(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police arrested a pregnant woman for driving while impaired by drugs following a single-vehicle crash in Kings Park that injured the driver and her passenger on Wednesday, November 25.
Danielle Wisnieski, 26, was driving a 2003 Cadillac Escalade northbound on Indian Head Road when she lost control of the vehicle and overturned near Old Northport Road at 8:01 p.m.

Wisnieski, who is twenty-six weeks pregnant, was treated at the scene by Suffolk County Police Medical Crisis Action Team (MedCAT) paramedics who administered Narcan prior to her being transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via Suffolk County Police helicopter. Wisnieski, of Kings Park, is being treated for minor injuries.
Her passenger, Randal Jernigan, 34, of Kings Park, was transported via Kings Park Rescue to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Fourth Precinct Patrol officers arrested Wisnieski and charged her with Driving While Impaired by Drugs. She will be arraigned at a later date at First District Court in Central Islip.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
