(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred at a Rocky Point bar on Saturday, October 3.
Seventh Precinct police officers responded to Rocky Point Ale House, located at 42 Broadway, at approximately 10 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a disturbance at the location.

Upon arrival, officers observed Michael Murphy, 42, of Rocky Point, suffering from a medical event.
Rocky Point Rescue transported Murphy to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was pronounced dead at 11:24 p.m.
The investigation is continuing.
