(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested a man who shot his friend at a house in Copiague on Friday, March 18.
Nefi Reyes, while at his residence, pointed a handgun towards his friend, Wilson Gil-Torres when the weapon discharged, striking Gil-Torres in the torso at approximately 12:20 p.m. 911 was called by someone at the scene.

Gil-Torres, 18, of Copiague, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip by the Copiague Fire Department where he was pronounced dead.
Reyes, 18, of Copiague, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter 2nd Degree. He was held overnight and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 19.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
