(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the two men involved in a shooting that critically injured a man in a Dix Hills shooting in November.
Second Precinct police officers responded to a residence on Melrose Ave. on November 20 at 9:12 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a shot had been fired into the home.

When officers arrived, they determined Louis Speaight had been shot in the chest after answering the door of the residence.

Speaight, 27, of Norfolk, Virginia, was transported to Southside Hospital by Dix Hills Fire Department Rescue where he was listed in critical condition.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
