(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested two males for robbing a pizza delivery person in Medford on Friday, January 1.
A 22-year-old Coram man was delivering pizza to a residence on Dunbar Ave. at approximately 8:45 p.m. on January 1 when he was approached by 5 males. The victim dropped the pizza and attempted to flee and a struggle ensued. The victim was able to get to his vehicle and drive away.

Sixth Precinct and Canine Section officers responded. Canine Section Officer Kenneth O’Brien and his dog, Dodge, located a vehicle with subjects inside on Granny Road in Medford and two males were subsequently arrested.
Sixth Squad detectives charged Joel Elam, 17, of Medford, with Robbery 2nd Degree. A juvenile male was also charged with Robbery 2nd Degree. Elam was scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
