(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that injured a 10-year-old boy in Medford on Thursday, January 21.
Santa Mosquea was driving her 2002 Acura eastbound on Granny road when she struck a 10-year-old boy that ran into the road near the intersection of Mill Road at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The boy, who is from Medford, was transported by Medford Ambulance to Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was treated for a broken femur and lacerations.
Mosquea, 32, of Medford, was not injured and remained at the scene.
The investigation is continuing and the vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
