Rent Regulations expire in 18 days
(Long Island, NY) Manhattan, NY— With 18 days remaining until the expiration of rent laws State Senator Adriano Espaillat (D-Manhattan/Bronx), the Ranker of the Senate’s Housing Committee, will host a community forum to discuss the effects of deregulation and massive rent increases on the’2.5 million tenants who live in rent regulated housing. 35,000 units have been deregulated under the current rent laws since their passage in 2011. 87 thousand rent regulated units are in Senator Espaillat’s District.
