(Wading River, NY) New York State Senator Ken LaValle, center, recently congratulated SUNY Maritime scholarship recipients Thomas Fox and Joe Whelan, both of Wading River and 2013 graduates of Shoreham Wading River H.S.
Tom is a volunteer firefighter in Shoreham Wading River and hopes to become an officer in the Coast Guard. Joe is member of the Wading River Fire Department Explorers and hopes to pursue a career in engineering.
