(Long Island, NY) Senate Republican Conference Leader Dean Skelos today announced that he has appointed Beth Garvey to serve as Counsel to the Republican Conference. Beth has served as First Assistant Counsel to the conference since 2011. She was also a member of the Senate’s Counsel/Program staff from 2004 to 2009.
“Beth is a very bright and hardworking person,” Senator Skelos said. “I’m confident she will do an outstanding job providing insight and advice as Counsel to our conference as we address the issues that are important to all New Yorkers.”
Garvey is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College and Albany Law School.
She lives in Albany with her husband Brian and son Connor.
