(Long Island, NY) The Second Squad is investigating a Serious Motor Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 8:50 pm in Bethpage.
According to detectives a 62 year old female was driving her 2011 Chevrolet South on Hicksville Road in the vicinity of Hempstead Turnpike at which time she struck a 59 year old female pedestrian that was crossing west to east.

The pedestrian suffered severe head trauma and was transported in a Nassau County Ambulance and treated in a nearby local hospital. The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety test.
There is no apparent criminality. The investigation is ongoing.
