(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a single car crash that killed a man in Sound Beach on Saturday, October 3.
Richard Cambria was driving his 2011 Dodge pickup truck southbound on Islip Drive, when it left the roadway and struck a telephone pole and retaining wall at approximately 11:50 a.m.

Cambria, 49, of Sound Beach, was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, in Port Jefferson, by the Sound Beach Fire Department Ambulance. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Seventh Squad detectives at 631-852-8752.
