(WEST ISLIP, NY) It is an exciting time at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School as the top student-athletes are selecting their colleges. The SJB community is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of the following athletes who signed letters of intent to play for Division 1universities:
- Jake Wiswall, Great River resident – Football — Bryant University
- Faith Daley, Amityville resident – Girls Soccer — Fairfield University
The National Letter of Intent (NLI) is a document used by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to indicate a student athlete’s commitment to participating in interscholastic athletics in the United States.

“I am thrilled Faith is going to Fairfield. Her coach is alumnus Jim O’Brien who has started a great SJB connection. Her strong work ethic and desire to win will make her a success, and I wish her all the best. She will be greatly missed on the SJB soccer field. ”, said Lorraine Bouklas, Girls’ Athletic Director.
As Ralph Dalton, Boy’s Athletic Director states, “Jake has been a leader on and off the football Field. He will be a great asset to Bryant and we will miss him and his leadership in our football program. His hard work has paid off. Congratulations to Jake!”.
