(West Islip, NY) The St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School community congratulates senior Brandon Khoury of Bay Shore on his appointment to the United States Naval Academy.
Through his hard work over the course of his four years at SJB, Brandon was one of the 1,200 students to receive an appointment from the pool of 18,459 applicants. According to the Naval Academy, “screening is thorough with a focus on well-rounded individuals who have demonstrated leadership potential, a willingness to accept responsibility and outstanding academic credentials”.

An appointment to the United States Naval Academy is equivalent to a full four year scholarship including all tuition, room and board, benefits and a month midshipman salary. SJB is thrilled to join with the United States Naval Academy in acknowledging Brandon’s accomplishment and commitment to serve his nation.
