(New York, NY) Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement regarding the death of New York City Police Officer Dennis Guerra, who is the son of Investigator Dennis Guerra of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit:
“Officer Guerra heroically gave his life trying to save others, and we are forever in debt for his sacrifice. His passing is a tragic reminder that our police officers and firefighters ensure our safety at great personal risk. I know I speak for everyone who works at the Attorney General’s Office in saying that our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Guerra’s family and loved ones, as well as his fellow officers at the New York City Police Department.”
