(Long Island, NY) After being signed into law by Governor Cuomo, Senator Marc Panepinto (D-Buffalo) released the following statement on his co-sponsored piece of legislation The CARE Act (S.676A):
“Thanks to Governor Cuomo’s support, millions of patients and their families will receive the care and respect they rightfully deserve. By enabling patients to designate a caregiver in their medical records, we are single-handedly protecting them from costly re-admission to healthcare facilities and providing more than 4.1 million caregivers with the support and peace of mind they are owed. I am proud to have co-sponsored this significant piece of legislation to bring immediate relief to those who need it most.”
Senator Panepinto represents the 60th Senate District, which includes parts of the City of Buffalo as well as communities in both the Northtowns and the Southtowns of Western New York.
