Below is the original release.
(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police are investigating a missing persons case during which a mother abducted her child instead of turning him over to Suffolk County Child Protective Services.
Kristin Kapp was ordered to turn over her son, Sebastian Parsons-Kapp, to CPS. When she ignored the order, a Family Court Warrant for Child Neglect was issued on April 27. The child’s father, who previously had an order of protection that prohibited contact with the child, reported him missing on June 9.
