(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man during a camper fire in Bohemia on Tuesday, November 19.
Fifth Precinct officers responded to Bourne Blvd. after a 911 caller reported a fire in a camper that was parked in the driveway of a home at approximately 4:10 a.m.

When the fire was extinguished, Thomas Gangi was found dead inside the camper. Gangi, 30, lives at the home and was sleeping in the camper at the time of the fire.
No one else was in the camper at the time of the fire and none of the occupants of the home were injured. The cause of the fire is undetermined but appears non-criminal at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
